With this simple recipe, you can make rose hip jam yourself according to Grandma’s recipe. For this homemade jam, the healthy fruits of the rose are cooked. Especially fans of the delicately sour taste of the fruit get their money’s worth here. This recipe is a classic and easy to cook.
What you will need:
- 1½ kg rose hip
- Water as needed
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 750 g Sugar
- ½ Lemon (the juice of the fruit)
Wash and dry the rose hips and cut away the dark flowers. Halve the fruit, remove the seeds and wash again thoroughly. Place in a saucepan, add enough water to cover the rose hips. Cook the fruit until soft, then pass through a sieve.
Add cinnamon. Measure out the sugar according to the package instructions. Bring to the boil together with the mus and the lemon juice. Boil for 4 minutes and pour immediately into clean glasses.
